I recently broke a key in the lock of my garage door. I managed to salvage both halves of the key. A friend told me Ace has a machine which can trace both sections of the key and make a new one. Can you do this.

I agree call them .. friendly local store who try to do a good job helping their customer ... so happy to a a real hardware store close by ..

If all elements of the key are there. I have personally cut keys before, but it may be a challenge to cut accurately due to the breaking. You may try super glue so the machine can attempt to trace the key.
