Very Rude customer Service. I guess asking how much was the average bill at this address was is asking too much! Very rude and irritated for just inquiring about services at my location! I told em I could see how they have a 1 star rating! Should be zero stars!

Rude and disrespectful customer “service”. Managers don’t call back, as promised. Worst utility company I’ve ever been been forced to do business with. Billing issues multiple months in a row. Can’t get past the extremely rude customer service, though. I was told last month when I called to ask about my bill that they “shouldn’t have to explain to me how to pay my bills.” And then I was hung up on when I asked to speak with a manager. Unreal.

Terrible customer service. Have set up two different appointments to get my water turned on now. Both times my appointment has been canceled without so much as a phone call letting me know. Their website never works the way it is supposed to so you have to call customer service (who leaves you on hold for fifteen minutes and then just hangs up on you 75% of the time). I am in an apartment that *requires* water to be transferred to my name or I could face eviction. American Water does not care, they take no responsibility for their own mistakes.
