No but you should wipe it down with a polishing cloth at least once a month. Also store it in its original packaging because the Velvet keeps the silver from tarnishing.
Not that I know of I purchased it for my wife a number things and have not seen any kind of thing at all

It does lose it's luster and needs to be cleaned but I do wear mine daily.
No i had mine for 3 yrs & So far my charms or bracelets haven't
