The food pantries are not requiring kids at this time as I know for my boyfriend lost his and st Vincent and the church on 4th and Greenbrae. I also hear the church is drive up on Wednesday and ask what toy would like so you don't end up with a bunch of things toy already have. Yes you can recieve food without a vehicle..
You can get a daily package for free with no I'd but you need to fill out a simple questioneir to receive a monthly bigger package
