If you have a current authorized handicap sticker for your vehicle you can call ahead and clear yourself before the farm science review to bring your own golf cart but you will still have to register at the gate. That privilege is not meant for the general public only for law enforcement and people with a handicap situation.
I do believe that you need a doctor's note stating that you need to ride in a cart. This was the case after my spinal cord surgery. The carts started causing a problem because it got to a point where no one could hardly walk.
