I have a tank that's 36x12.5x17 LxWxH I was told it was a 50 long but it's not braced. I need to figure out the capacity to properly dechlor and medicate (if needed). Can anyone help me out? I'm eager to set it up for my baby bichir

Your tank is a standard 30 gallon and to your second question, 36" tanks that are that narrow do not need a center brace. Center braces are not usually used until the length is 48" or the width exceeds 18"
