i got screwed like that too. said my package was with the courier and then after 8 hours said that it was "scheduled for delivery" and then the further details claimed that there was adverse weather and it couldnt be delivered. even though we just had the blizzard, my apartment complex was plowed and there was a perfect path to my door...

It probably means a signature was unobtainable and it was returned to the dhl station
