I had torn my meniscus and I have bone on bone in my knee. I had some kind of injection in my left knee at Carolina Orthopaedic, 3 to be exact. Is that called Stem Cell Therapy? If not what is it? Thank you.

They do the same thing with me - 3 shots 3 weeks - and the med they use for me is Orthovisc.

Nope, that series of three was hyaluronic acid aka Synvisc, OR just a series of steroids. Insurance will not cover stem cell therapy because it is not approved by the all powerful FDA! Regardless, stem cell therapy is not widely available in Gaston County. Also, stem cell therapy is not a three injection treatment. Why not just ask your insurance company what they covered? Get access to your medical records. It the pain returns, you may have the same treatment repeated. I have had it many, many times. I wish you the best!
