They hate their customers. Their online fulfillment manager is especially bad.. I stopped shopping here, the customer service at North manassas lowes is much better.
They want to force you to do on line. Because they don't want to hire anyone
That is interesting, as i had the same experience when calling. But with persistence, I finally got an answer and was able to get responses to my questions. In terms of too few staff, not so. It depends on the time of your visit. I was there midday during the week, and I counted 10 people standing around doing nothing but conversing with each other - 7 in pick up, three in customer service. I only saw three persons, outside of the two helping me, that were demonstrating efforts of working. The store's service has really diminished in the last 3, 4 years. But I heard a rumor that new management will arrive soon, so don't lose total confidence. Oh, and the other commenter is right, N. Manassas does answer their phones. A couple of years ago, their customer service was inconsistent. But they have worked to improve.
Lack of staff. I went there recently and find not series any staff on the floor. The one's at the customer service desk were swamped with customers
My guess is too few employees so they just aren't bothering to answer phones.
