Coligny beach park is about 7 miles driving. Plenty of parking across the street or about a mile away in the USCB campus with a shuttle service to the beach and back.
Folley Beach was very close, approximately 1 mile. Every beach in Hilton Head is amazing. Easy parking, short walk! Buy some cheap beach chairs.
Based on what beach you'll like to visit. I would say 3 -5 mils.
