You don't but it's nice to have on holidays and payday weekends to secure your seat bc of the quality of food and the ambiance it does get packed quick.
I usually don't make a reservation I just walk in but on Fridays the weekends and on special occasions holidays I would suggest calling ahead for a reservation would be the best thing to do to ensure that you have a place to eat
