Mrs. Harden Is correct that's what happened to me.
I used Enterprise a couple weeks ago and I do not have a credit card. I was able to use my debit card with them charging/holding $300. If you have the $300 available in your bank for a hold plus the cost of the rental, you'll be fine. After my rental, I received the $300 back to my bank within 5 business days.
