Yes. You can put in at Ramseurs battlefield on Clark's Creek, behind high school or at Betty Ross Park. Or you can put in at Laboratory and paddle upstream. Stay away from the dam and if water is higher, going over dam, stay way away from dam. Take out at bridge. We paddle weekly and see others often. There are down trees as in any river. If water is low, it's no issue. If water is rushing over dam or moving fast, trees can be strainers so avoid them. Don't paddle below the Laboratory dam as there are 2 more dams that are difficult to get out to portage.

Two different dams and several trees in the water make it an issue for any sort of water based activities.
