Is it normal to wait over 7 hrs to be seen in the ER? I was there for 3 hours and gave up. A man stopped us in the parking lot and said he and his wife had been there 7 hours AND SHE WAS STILL WAITING!!! @_@

There are no over night rooms there so if you need to stay in the hospital they will have to transfer you to the downtown hospital.

No it isn't normal, I normally get taken right back but it also depends on the urgency whether they have rooms available and maybe someone critically wounded had arrived via ambulance they always tend to something like that first but I would have left after 1hr if I was still in the waiting room. Did you talk to anyone and ask what's going on?
