My experience as a board member has been great with Homeside. Their President, James Arterbury, is very accessible through their main number. The website has financials posted for us board members and homeowners to review by mid-month--a feature I really love since I work late and can pull the complete financial package at any hour of the day or night. My manager explained they use best practices in accounting required by Associa and are audited each year for compliance.
It's a horrible management company. We are unhappy with it in Woodridge Association. I came to their Alpharetta office twice with the issues and nobody met with me there.
James Arterbury is President of Homeside Properties, an Associa company. James transferred in 2016 from the Orlando branch, which he joined in 2010. He has had a laser-focus on providing excellent customer service at what has been called the "new" Homeside. Monthly financials for all associations are posted online. Associations choose a CPA for tax prep or for an audit, or allow Homeside to choose from reputable local CPA firms.
I met James Arterbury, their President, at our annual meeting. He joined Homeside in Dec. 2016. For us, he has made a big difference in customer focus. No requirement to use a designated CPA for tax prep or an audit; we can choose our own or from a list of CPA firms they recommend. Homeside produces financials monthly & posts online--a complete one for board access only, & balance sheet & revenue/expense statement for all homeowners. Very transparent accounting.
