This is my first time attempting to make lavender scented soap, (melt and pour method.) Can you tell me the approximate number of drops of the essential oil to add per pound. I like a medium to strong scent. Thanks

Thanks Katie. I was figuring on 40 to 50 drops per pound. I am actually using cocoa butter base

It depends on your soap base. Glycerin, cocoa butter, shea butter, or goat's milk will all have a different scent strength to start. I've never made soap but I make cocoa butter salve and use between 25-40 drops per 8oz cocoa butter. Lots of trial and error. Good luck!
