Drivers License, Title, Proof of insurnace and emissions. I should also add if this is not going into your personal name and you and registering for some one (like a friend and family member) you will need a power of attorney or they would need to come in and register themselves. GA does not base tax off of purchase price or gift, they base the tax off of fair market value. So if it is a Georgia title and not a immediate family member, or an out of state title, the tax will be due.
See Kiki's answer. With it being a gift you may be able to avoid the Ad Valorem tax but, they would want proof of that as well.
