I joined Planet Fitness on a 12 month contract. I moved from the are and kept paying my contact. My contract was up in March. I finished paying my contact. A payment was taken from my account in April putting my account in the negative.

Yup. I went in a canceled my membership a few months ago because I had switched gyms. Found out today that they’re still charging me, despite me coming in and canceling.

Well... I just noticed that I have been charged on a monthly for this membership that I canceled over a year ago. Just before the pandemic. How I noticed it was, I was charged today and seen it while I was looking for another transaction. Back-searching and I've been charged 19.99 for nearly 2 years after I canceled the account at this store in person. This is theft at its best...

I also second the concerns about joining planet fitness because I'm not into doing any contract or digging into any accounts of mine. Any suggestions of a better place to get a membership?

Thank you I was thinking about going and starting planet fitness but between my own family and reading this I'm starting to think that planet fitness maybe a place where people get ripped off that want to work out and be healthy which is not nice and says a lot about those that actually sponsor saying that's a good place to work out question is is it really! A good place to work out if they're just going to take advantage of people!
