Yes I agree, the fresh juice bar went away almost immediately, and it is now more grocery store with a good food bar than specialty foods and great groceries with spectacular food bars. They now take shortcuts, for example, at the food bar, they don't stem the kale for steamed or fresh kale so you get the chewy stalks and stems instead of the tender kale only. Things like this show up throughout the store under the new management. It's still a good store but the specially, quality and the little extra effort of the original Whole Foods management style are all fading away.
Some things have changed.. but it's nothing to write home about?🤗
I think overall things have gone downhill with their draconian return policy as well as just the general attitude and lack of friendliness I have experienced at several of their locations!! Trader Joe's is much more customer oriented and will even open a box of an item for you to try before you buy it!! But they close too damn early for my liking and the stores are small with much less selection than Whole Foods. It's a shame they were bought out by Amazon but I guess in the end it's all about the money!! P.S. - You can always try the local Farmer's Market which will be much less expensive and while there may not be a large organic section the bakery rocks. P.P.S. - I really do miss the juice bar there but Arden's Garden is just around the corner and that MAY have a juice bar there. I know they squeeze in their own juices so they are FRESH!!
Also, none of the food in the hot bar or prepared foods ( except organic rotisserie chicken) is organic. I asked Whole Foods about it and they did say that they wash the veggies and fruit, but one of the employees pulled me to the side and told me that they don’t consistently wash the fruit / veggies, so there may be remnants of pesticides on them because they are not organic.
The food bar is very good
Yes..Since Amazon bought out Whole Foods the quality of products have declined tremendously.Especially in the whole body department. They have limited carrying high quality popular products and now started making such products under the name of the generic brand of Whole Foods brand.
I only been going there a few months. Not sure
