I'm not a pro at networking but I do have a degree in network admin. I don't know your knowledge with networking but I would recommend firstly to make sure all of your devices aren't too old that can slow down your network. It can also depend on the rest of your equipment, if the ethernet cable is cat 6 and router support speed. Make sure the modem your getting supports CenturyLink which most do, and it will say it on the box. I guess it depends on what you want and how much you want to spend. Most of all the speed will depend on what you paid for with CenturyLink. You can ask the team at Microcenter too.
