No "scavenger hunt", but agree the soldier "dog tag" indoor tour is great for kids. The outdoor tour would be great for kids too. They will enjoy the many static displays (plus expend a lot of energy).
There are various self guided tour opportunities. A great one for kids is the soldiers dog tag tour as they follow the career of a specific soldier through the museum.
There is; they will give each child a dog tag and he can go from exhibit to exhibit following his adopted soldier. The dog tag also enables things like the electronic shooting range.
The inside museum does have a self guided tour. They may have something at the gift shop.
