Hi, It has been over a year since I stayed at Gibert Ray CG: does the entire complex stay open year round? How busy is G. Ray CG likely to be this Thurs, Fri and Sat nights? More than half full?? Deciding between there and Mt Lemmon. Thanks!

I stayed there in May and only about one third of the sites were taken. Iwas told by the camp manager that the cooler months of March and April were crowded.

I believe it 's open all year round but not staffed in the summer. I would expect sites available most every night now

Usually this time of year there is only one main loop open,no staff at the entrance.Never really had a problem finding a site in June.Even on the weekends.

First come first serve. Right now we are in a drought with fire restrictions. No wood fires. Monsoon to start soon so change coming. I do not believe there are office workers there now. It was very busy a few weeks ago. Has been extremely hot now so i do not know. I would call the number under campground site online before i firming up plans.
