Sign on the door says Closed For Maintenance, looks like someone drove through the yellow tape on the Main St entrance
The Burger King at 59 Columbia Ave. in Willimantic is closed for business due to structural concerns related to the roof. Workers noticed a crack in the building and quickly called their maintenance people. They took a look at it and said ‘woah, woah, woah,’” Vertefeuille said. “The building official stepped in and looked at it and discovered it was a lot worse than we thought.” Vertefeuille said several of the trusses supporting the roof failed. Vertefeuille said temporary supports were put up to support the roof while a Burger King-hired engineer works to fix the problem. Rough estimates are the restaurant will be closed for at least a few weeks, according to Vertefeuille.
