Salam, if any border (stone, wood, metal, etc.) is not allowed then how come there are Graves that has borders and grave markers? I would greatly appreciate some help as I've been contacting Marlboro muslim cemetery for almost a month now to do that but have received no response

It is not haram to put a grave marker for you and your family. You can even create one unique grave marker as long as it is flat and has natural elements like stone, wood, etc. you can get very creative within budget. My father is at this location and the people are very clean and respectful. I even see staff praying for all of our loved ones. It humbling

I was told you have to make those types of purchases through the cemetery themselves. Was there a few days ago and we were talking about the same issue of how unauthorized stones are removed by the cemetery owners. You should contact them and ask.
