When it comes to Indian and Pakistani restaurants, just go for the food. Never expect good service. Being Pakistani, I'm used to it, so leave your privileged attitude at the door, and just enjoy the food. Thanks everyone
If they charged you 30% tip then that is ridiculous. This is not a fancy restaurant. 18 - 20% gratuity is added to parties of 6 or more in many restaurants. However if they state this on their website then you would have to acknowledge it. We Asians are quite cheap when it comes to giving tips and so it is probable that the establishment feels the need to do so. However, even I agree that 30% is too high. If you feel you were treated unfairly on the tip, call BBB and complain.
@Fahad Privileged attitude? It’s called being served by servers at a restaurant where you pay them for that privilege. But yes I’ve eaten here 30+ times. Most of them time they aren’t all that friendly BUT the food is excellent and I rarely find halal/Pakistani versions of Indian food to be any good. This is an exception. Go for the food. If they’re nice leave an appropriate tip.
That 30% tip comment. Were you a party of 10 or over? Because most restaurants charge that for that many people. I go with 3 or 4 people so I havent had it, but it is customary at most to have it laid in as mandatory gratuity.
I ordered tandoori chicken and they served the chicken baked from the oven which they call tandoori

It is overcrowded on Friday and Saturday night so they do have the don't care attitude.. I have gone even on weekdays lunch time..even then it was not that welcoming..food is flavorful and good..so many people ignore the quality of service ..many people who come here are all like regulars ..so the staff doesn't show that much of interest..
We had a great experience. Of course, it is popular so is often crowded. It takes a while to prepare the indian dishes afresh. So, it a while before we can get the food. Overall, the service and the food was good.
They are a busy franchise and i agree some times they might miss you, get their attention and they will be right with you. Also when there is a group of 5 or above they will automatically add gratituity.
I had a poor service. Waiters treat like they don't care and I was waiting for 30 mins to get food and no one cared to come to the table. I walked away. No one even smile at you. I was disappointed.
This could be distinct incident. I didn't feel so And didn't hear about this kind of experience with others
