I agree with Andrée and Peter. The best time would be 10am. The lines for the show start piling up about 1 hour before the theater doors open. Give yourself some headroom to comfortably view the exhibit galleries, but still make it towards the front of the lines because it will be going out of the door and around the corner from the entrance. 10am should be good. Make you sure you also get tickets for the Hebrew Bible and Washington Revelations... you don't want to miss either of those.
Earlier the best especially on weekends as this museum just opened three weeks ago
If you want to have a good walk through of the museum before your show, I would say arrive about 10 a.m.
