Great question! This is the only private museum in DC (that I'm aware of) and does not receive funds from your tax dollars like the others. They entire project was privately funded. It's worth it!

Well worth the admission fee. If you become a member (very reasonable)admission is free.

The Museum of the Bible doesn't receive government funding, probably due to separation of Church and State. It is privately funded and the fee we pay to get in is a large part of the funding that keeps the doors open. The place is worth the price to enter, but It does sadden me to know there will be some that can't afford to go.
