The museum is completely free. However certain exhibits require that you pay for them.
People are saying this is free. Yes it is, but there is a $15 suggested donation for each adult. It cost $500 million to erect. I think we could pay $15 to see it. Much better than spending $15 at the movie theater for 2 hours of entertainment. They estimate the average person to take 8 days 9 hours to get through the museum.
