Is there an entrance fee to the park?
There is a driving tour, but traffic is ferocious.
The battlefield is a walking tour. Parking lot is at the edge of it.
You can go through the parking lots in your vehicle but it doesn't let you get close to anything. Best way is to park your vehicle and walk around.
I believe you have to walk the battlefield...by yourself or pay for a guide to give you the facts. We walked by ourselves. You cannot drive the outskirts in your car like you can at Gettysburg.
Yes, there is an 18 mile driving tour with 12 marked locations. Pick up a map from the visitors center.
Not very handicap friendly, but beautiful and so historical!! Amazing, all should go and see and watch movie.
No.
If you're physically able, you should hike the battlefield. Unlike Gettysburg, this site only has a few monuments, and, for me, that's a good thing. It's a nicely preserved battlefield that can be great teaching experience for youth and adults.
It takes over three hours of the car. Unless you don't have a lot of time or the heat and humidity are horrible, try to walk it. I think you get a better feel for it that way, anyway.
There is a driving tour, particularly covering the 2nd battle. But you really need to get out of your car to walk around to really see things. The smaller 1st battle is best done as a walk around Henry Hill by the visitor center.
No. They take you out in a train/ trolley like thing for q 13.50 I believe it was.
