Me too. We had cats for twenty years and just had to put down last dear pet in May. I made a mistake contacting this unprofessional organization with our knowing much about it. They were rude on the phone, insinuated that I did not take my pets to my vet often enough. No attempt to find out any of my cat carring history. They used my vet information against me. WHO THE Heck do they think they are? I am going to contact their management. Please contact me about joining your complain. Their phone number in Greenvile is joke - can't even leave a message because it cuts you off.
Anyone know the name of the director ? Seems like a hoarder begging for donations for cats she won't adopt out.
Horrible experience with this place. Got two kittens, both of which had ringworm, which they later confessed to being aware of. Upper respiratory infections, leaky eyes. Has caused us weeks of turning our house upside down to accommodate. Really unfortunate that they did not disclose this information ahead of time. Still get cats, but think twice about where from. If ever getting from Forgotten Cats, demand a check up before bringing them home.
This organization Turned me down flat in less than four minutes! She was rude to me. She had no time for any discussion, Nor does she seem to care about adopting out these poor animals. I will find a place that is willing to place a mature cat In a loving and more than capable home. I’m not sure really what favors they are doing for the 112 cats they currently have up for adoption. What a shame!
I’m going through the same thing right now. I’m so sorry this happened to you.
My husband and I applied for the cutest kitten (Cookie) a few day ago. The volunteers there said that the kitten was more cuddly with me than she had been with anyone else and that we were the perfect match. They urged us to put in an application for her. I filled out the paperwork and got a call from a worker from Forgotten Cats today. She demanded to know where my cat was that I had adopted in 2019. I informed her that she had gotten very ill shortly after I had adopted her. We had taken her to the vet several times and they did not know what was wrong with her. She was losing weight quickly and had stopped eating. She became reclusive, as if she was getting ready to pass. I took her to the vet again, who said that they could do several tests and X-rays on her, but it would be several thousands of dollars, and there was a very small chance of survival. She was in pain with every step, and was wanting to pass- she was telling us that by hiding herself away. I made the heartbreak
did anybody get their cat back & can anyone recommend a better place?
