Huge cows, lazy pigs, friendly goats, cute chickens, loner alpaca, super cute invader groundhog. It was a nice treat. Make you sure you go on Saturdays since the volunteers those says are very helpful, informative, knowledgeable, and nice.

Poplar is like a real life dream! The animals are at peace and are well cared for. My children love going to Poplar! We especially love the Thanksgiving event where they serve vegan food, sadly they won't be holding it this year due to Covid concerns. You are currently able to sponsor an animal through their website and can even schedule a visit to see your sponsored friend. I can't wait for them to re-open once Covid is controlled.

Poplar Spring is a magical place, where love and compassion abound...heaven on earth for its lucky inhabitants.

What an amazing place. Terry and the team are amazing. We see the happy animals, but we dont see the behind the scenes. You guys are these animals angels. My son couldn't stop talking about all the animals he met. His dad is overseas serving in the military, he was so happy telling his dad that when he gets older he wants to volunteer. Thank you for allowing us to experience these little blessings.

We have a cow which needs a safe place. Would you adopt her?
Do you have to make an appointment?
Individuals or small family groups can call or email to find out about our schedule for weekend tours. Due to our small staff, we cannot offer small private tours on weekdays, but we usually will offer at least one tour that individuals may join on each weekend, except on or near event weeks. There is a $5 suggested donation/person, or you may give any amount to benefit the rescued animals. http://www.animalsanctuary.org/visit/
There are ducks there presently. I'm not a volunteer there but you should give them a call.
Yes! Go to animalsanctuary.org and fill out the needed application and waiver to get started.
There is no entry fee as such. But during the introduction, they keep a donation box. The suggested donation is $5 per person and free for infants. Given the way the farm is maintained and the animals are fed, I think it's worth it.
Yes. Email them. They have scheduled tours and you can join the tour.
