Hi Vincent, absolutely. When you first start in our program as a beginner you'll enter the Core Program. You are going to do a warmup designed the prepare your muscles and joints for the class including planks and pushups, and dynamic movements. The warmup isn't too long since you are here to get awesome at martial arts :) After that we move onto the drilling the techniques we are learning that week. Each round you and your partner will take turns repping out the technique while the instructors come around and give you pointers. Additionally we have all the techniques, including several past weeks of techniques on tv's all around the academy for your to reference. At the end you'll also do some light positional training but no sparring. We want to make sure you know what you are doing first before you try to spar. Once you feel comfortable with the techniques and have demonstrated that you can train safely you can start the sparring classes. Safety is paramount here.
