You probably could, but it wouldn't be ideal since all the people swimming and boats being unloaded make the fish spooked easily
You can also bring or rent a kayak and fish off of it.
We went to the swimming area. There was a boat launch there too. I didn't see anyone fishing but probably because people swimming and disturbing the water.
We fished from rock ledge & boat ramp.
