Most definitely. There are many areas with picnic tables as well as bar-b-q grills. There are also pavilions. These are all first come first serve.

Yes. If you want a covered pavilion you have to call and reserve. If the party is in the open areas of the park you are okay with no reservations.
I would say the main park area, because there is a small zoo park where you, and your family can go to. Or if you're into nature you can go to a picnic area deep in the woods. Well actually both places are great to celebrate a party.
