You need to be 18 years old except you may open an account with a parent or Guardian at a younger age.

Teenagers ages 13-17 may have an account without an adult joint owner if the minor is able to provide a valid government-issued ID. If the minor does not have the appropriate required ID, an adult must be on the account. Adults 18+ may open an account with the required ID and other information.
