Hmm yea tough question as they do compost, but I would imagine tree parts would also require more work to get them smaller enough for compost. I dont know if they have the people or resources foe that. I was literally just there yesterday! I do know though that some city trash drop offs will mulch them up. I know n for sure that's what Texas Pure Products at the Custer Transfer Station does. They mulch up people's trees/shrubs int their mulch. They can also much up the non pure co post into a different variety of compost. I know from volunteering there once, so I am unsure if their is any fee for deop off (or reimbursement/credit??). I can't imagine it is large as I saw nonstop dozens of people drive in and drop of their trees, shrubs, grass and paper bags fulll of the likes.
I don’t know whether or not they accept brush and trees, but I’ve have called them before with questions and always gotten a prompt answer.
Hey Shannon! We love that you're working to keep that tree out of the landfill! We don't accept tree trimmings or large brush drop-offs at Recycle Revolution because our Community Drop Off area is pretty small. We recommend contacting Texas Pure Products or Living Earth for your large-scale composting needs.
