The bill collector is using your account information you supplied. However, yes you can stop this by removing them and/or resetting your account and issuing a new card to your account, which freezes any existing debits or withdrawls.
Depends on the collector... If they have a lawyer it's going to be next to impossible. I suggest you close the account, or just don't put any more money in there.
