Unless it's a service dog I am glad dogs are not allow in Aldi's and hopefully no other place where groceries are sold, and I have a grand dog I love!
oh please, all of you. A dog in somebody's bag or arm is way less gross than the thousands of people with unwashed hands and colds and who knows what else trooping through the store every day pawing at merchandise. It might be a "policy" but I have been in many stores where people have a small dog and nobody bothered them about it - there was a lady with a little chihuahua in rockwall walmart last week.
As per Food industry Protocol ONLY Service Animals are allowed.
They couid have at least let you get what you needed, then told you the policy for next time. I think they know your dog poses no threat to anyone. But it's understandable that they dont want to be in the position of evaluating if a dog is a threat or not. There was still no call to be offensive to you in any way and they were. Escorted off of the premises? That's humiliating. They didn't need to humiliate you. I hope you dont feel badly. It's really their bad. Clearly all they needed to do was apprise you of the new policy & allow you to do as you should and I'm sure would have.
Pets aren't usually allowed in any food establishment
Well I saw in Wal-Mart
Service dogs only, like with most establishments. But no clue why anyone would have an animal where food is.
Only service animals usually...
I never knew pets were allowed in Aldi. Are there other grocery stores where dogs are allowed?
