To add onto Angelina's point, if you break while on the conveyor, you'll just go over the bumpers behind you. So, a better idea is to honk like no tomorrow so the staff know to stop the wash if there's no automatic halting system linked with honks. It's understandable to be upset but usually Mister is very very easygoing on paying claims off and helping you repair your vehicle from what I've seen. It isn't really their fault if the scenario Angelina gave is the scenario. The person behind you too isn't to blame, it would maybe even be no one's fault if the person in front had their car stal. I wasn't there to be able to give a full take but there's alot that can happen

I would like to point out that the fact that you were in the middle of two other cars, only being moved by the conveyor, the car in front of you most likely failed to drive out of the car wash when they got the green light to go. Because of the conveyor being automatic, even though you were hitting your breaks, the tire blockers (the little things that help push your car through the wash) on the conveyor were still moving which is why you were being bumped around. Same thing goes for the car behind you. They stop the wash to try to avoid any further damage done to anyone and their vehicles as well as prevent damage done to the wash equipment.
