With all of the poor communication, mismanagement, and deceptive sign up practices, why an average of 4 stars? Is it just like BBB where Clear One Advantage is telling clients to post positive reviews to counteract negative reviews? Or naive people?

I can't speak on behalf of whoever BBB is since I don't know anything about them however my personal review of Clear One Advantage comes from my own experiences with that company. Nobody ever asked or told me to post any review positive or negative. Everyone I spoke with from beginning to end was extremely helpful and catered to our needs in the most professional way. Our situation surrounded the death of a loved one, "my father" and the kind folks at Clear One Advantage handled our case with sincere condolences and care. I hardly find anything deceptive or naive about that. Finally I only post reviews to help someone else try to make the best decisions for themselves. In this case I'll let me review speak for itself and for those who encounter the Clear One team, I hope you enjoy the same experience we did.

Kelly, I'm sorry to hear about your father. And I'm glad in your particular situation, Clear One was able to help you, however, when I stated BBB, that is the Better Business Bureau. I spent about 1 hour reading Multiple heart-wrenching, detailed stories about what people have encountered with their dealings with Clear one. From being sued, to having to pay MORE then what thier debt was originally. I personally have about 4 separate ongoing issues with them. The BBB has both a Rating page (like here) and an official formal complaint page. You can read the 1 star review stories. I am currently in contact with 3 company representatives after I wrote my review here - and a long letter to them. You got out lucky. Hopefully they will come to a successful resolution for me. So far, they haven't budged. But we'll see.
