There are concerns for ticks in just about any wooded area, and I can confirm that deer do cut through the grounds - having said that, I've been there a lot and haven't found any on me. The paths are wide and most of them are well maintained - stay on the paths, you should be fine.

I have never gotta a tick on me at the garden.

We were there two weeks ago, stayed on the trails and had zero tick issues. But, at this time of year, you can pick up a tick anywhere. Just do a tick check when you get home and have fun at the Garden!!
