Sound bar not working but we have picture. All was working before a button was bumped on a remote but don't know why was touched. What do we do??

I know that with my surround sound I have a aux cord connected, this helps for when I'm watching tv or playing Xbox. When I'm using the DVD and surround sound, I don't need to do anything but plug and play. If yours is the same, hit that aux button!
