They have never become runny for me
As long as I'm not sitting in the sun they shouldn't run it should dry
I've taken these to friends and family outside the area that don't have Krispy Kreme near them and they've been fine the next day. But I always prefer to eat them as close to when they're made as possible.
In the summer I keep mine in the freezer. Pop in the microwave for like 12 seconds and they are almost like the ones that come off the belt at the store
As long as they are kept at about 75F or cooler, they'll never get runny.
For me, after 15 minutes, try to get it when the sign is on
