Like any popular restaurant, more people with a limited amount of seating. Consider asking someone there if they have any slower times during the day/week.

Popular, good food, good location, reasonable cost = good value.
They turn over tables very quickly so a small lobby full of people may seem like a long time but it generally isn't.
Food is awesome as is Magnolia's.
They offer a lot on their take out menu if you don't feel like waiting too long. You can order at the counter and take it to-go
I have never had to wait. I guess I have always gone at a good time.
