It is now closed during those hours in Newton due to people shoplifting
Wal-Mart in Newton is no longer open 24 hours. The store closes now at 1:00 AM. for five hours and opens again at 6:00 A.M. It is unfortunate the stocking of grocery items in particular can no longer use this window of time. It is certainly not appealing to this customer, who does the weekly grocery shopping on Monday's at noon, to see empty shelves for 1 of every 4 items on the list. This certainly is not on any of the store employees I spoke to on the front end. They were most enjoyable and informative. You listening, Management? Regional? Hy Vee is right down the street. They had what you didn't have on their shelves to complete my list.
Wow. That is interesting and news to me. Maybe it will just be a winter thing. LoL. The shelves we're empty last night so might be a a stocking issue. Let us know what you find out. LoL.
Newton walmart started closing in the wee hours of the night several weeks ago. I am not sure why. I would guess the cost of keeping it open was more than the profit.
I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart in Newton is open 24 hours normally.
