All you need is a current id whether that be a dln ccl or just id. And to respond to John you can buy anything that is legal in your state, out of state but anything that is not a long gun ie shotgun or rifle, must be shipped to an ffl in your state of residence. I don't think so. Just a driver's license. I never show my hunting license to buy a gun. If you out of state you can only buy long gun. Unless you have a FFL. Federal Firearms License to buy a pistol out of state.
No you only need that to get a hunting license.
