I applied for Social Security Disability in August of 2018. When is anyone going to contact me over the phone or email to let me know what is going on. I lost my job the first week of June and I don't have any income.

I wouldn't wait id call them or go in and talk to someone.

You'll automatically be denied 2 times. Then you will have to tell your attorney to schedule the hearing with a judge which can take as long as 6 months to a year to get a date set with a disability judge, which is usually over a computer monitor which is a video call from another state.
