Where did the money come from to build it

Community fundraising.

The project was part of the voter-approved Community Capital Improvement Program, colloquially known as BOB 2.0, a riff off its predecessor program, Building On Basics.

Construction for the $11.5 million project began in August 2018. The funds to build the park come from The City of Fort Collins Community Capital Improvements Program, Storm-water, Natural Areas, and Parks and Public and private grants and donations
