I think you have to buy a movie ticket first to get into the restaurant area. You can eat at the tabels in the pool tabel area, or you can bring it into the movie with you, the chairs have tables.
From my understanding you can eat and drink in the pool table area.
You can definitely eat, drink, play pool, etc there without buying a movie ticket. We've gone there just for apps & drinks to watch the game & sat at a table, and also just for cocktails & sat at the bar, and not bought movie tix.
