I joined when Bally's owned most of LA Fitness locations in Illinois, however, since I was grandfathered in to the LA Fitness franchise, I now pay $21.00 per month. For new members it's around $29.00 per month plus initiation. I believe Planet Fitness offers a much better package deal, $19.00 per month, use any gym in the Continental United States, free fitness training, free Hydromassage, and much more.
